Abstract

This study ascertained the stress mangement and related learning experience performance of student nurses. Specifically, it sought to answer the following questions: what are the stress management tecnique utilized by the respondents; their related learning experience performance; the significant relationship between the respondent’s stress management and related learning experience performance.
This study utilized a descriptive-correlational research design using a researcher-made questionnaire. The study was conducted at Polytechnic College of Davao del Sur, Digos City. The respondents were the 38 level 3 student nurse who were enrolled for he second semester of the academic year 2011-2012. The data gathered were statistically treted using simple percentage, weightede mean and pearson-r.
Based on the key finding of the study, the top stress mangement techniques utilized b y the student nurses wre saying a prayer, listening to music, focusing positively on things, thinking of peaceful thoughts, and viewing problems as challenges. The respondents related learning performance was good. There was a significant relationship between the stress management and the related learning experience performance of the students nurses. The researcher draw the conclusion that the related learning experience performance was dependent on the stress mangement of the respondents. Anchored from thefindings, the researcher recommendes the following: implementation of a training course for student nurses to enhance their stress management technique and improve their coping nursing care managemnt lecture grades should be done as these were proven to influence their related learning experience performance.
