Abstract
This study determined the utilization of student’s personnel services of University of Cebu, Cebu City, 2011. The findings were the bases for a proposed action plan. Furthermore, the study answered questions on the profile of the respondents with regards to age, gender, and year level and students category of the respondents in terms of utilization of student’s personnel services. The relationships of the variable were statistically treated to check their significance.

A researcher-made questionnaire was utilized. The respondents of the study were the 321 nursing students who are currently enrolled in University of Cebu-Banilad for school year 2010-2011. Data were treated through simple percentage, frequency distribution, and Chi-square test of independence.

There were two significant findings, viz.: (1) a majority of the respondents were in the age group ranging from 16-19 years old. Age distribution revealed that a majority belonged to age 19. (2) A majority of the respondents as to gender were females. Findings revealed that utilization of guidance and counseling and health services were partially utilized. Utilization of Library and student affairs services were less utilized. The following recommendations were formulated: (1) to future researchers, a flow-up study be conducted covering a more number of students and that widen the coverage of the study and, (2) to facilitate implementation of the proposed action plan. Developmental needs of students are realized through the university’s student personnel services. It is important, therefore, for students to maximize their services rendered, viz. guidance and counseling, library, health and student affairs services.
