Abstract
This study ascertained the values of the level 4 student nurses in the following dimensions: physical, intellectual, moral, spiritual, social/sociological, economic, and political. It described the Related Learning Experiences (RLE) performance of the respondents. Furthermore, determined the relationship between values and Relate Learning Experiences (RLE) performance of the respondents.
This study utilized the descriptive-correlational design. Respondents’ values were assessed covering the seven values dimensions using a researcher-made questionnaire.
The research study was conducted at the College of Nursing of University of Cebu-Banilad campus. The respondents were all level 4 student nurses exposed to Delivery Room/Operating Room last June to July, 2010.
Based on the key findings of the study, spirituality and socio/sociological values dimensions are very highly desired. Physical, Intellectual, moral, economic, and political values dimensions are highly desired. The respondents’ Related Learning Experiences (RLE) performance is good. There is significant relationship between values and Related Learning Experiences (RLE) performance of the respondents.
The researcher would like to recommend the implementation of the action plan and to explore or venture on studies that would determine Values Clarification, relationship between values and academic performance, and relationship between values and stress management.
